Season Events in September

September 3 @ 5:30 p.m. - The Hyde Collection's Hyde After Dark. Socialize, network and experience the museum while enjoying jazz melodies and light appetizers.

September 12 @ 10:30-11:30 a.m. - Red Fox Books' Children's Story Time and Crafts. FREE

September 13 @ 2 p.m. - The Hyde Collection Degas Lecture Series, Degas & Opera. Peter Wynne will present a lecture with a particular focus on Degas and his love for opera. It will include images from the exhibition and beyond and will be accompanied by corresponding musical score. FREE

September 15 @ 12 p.m. - Red Fox Books Degas book group for adults: The Private Lives of the Impressionists.

September 16-October18 - Adirondack Region Textile Artists Alliance's Inspired by Degas exhibition at the ARTAA studio in The Shirt Factory. FREE

September 17 @ 5-8 p.m. - Third Thursday Art Walk. Discover established and up and coming local artists at various locations throughout Downtown Glens Falls. Maps of participating locations are available. Email glensfallsartwalk@yahoo.com for more information. FREE

September 17 @ 5:30 p.m. - Lower Adirondack Regional Arts Council's Degas' Visit to New Orleans lecture by Sheldon Hurst in the Lapham Gallery. FREE

September 17 @ 6 p.m. - The Hyde Collection Degas Film Series, Ratatouille (G). Enjoy the entirely new and original world where the unthinkable combination of a rat and a 5-star gourmet restaurant come together for the ultimate fish-out-of-water tale. FREE

September 22 @ 6:30 p.m. - Crandall Public Library Film, The Impressionists: Degas. FREE

September 26 @ 3 p.m. - Saratoga Chamber Players' Degas & Music at The Hyde Collection.

September 27-October 3 - Artists and Dancers Open Studio. Artists are invited to sketch dancers from Hubbard Hall Dance & Movement Program at Beacon Feed Studio in Hubbard Hall. FREE
